ABOUT ME
Your Doula, Compassionate &
Empowering Support
Hey! I’m Elizabeth, a certified labour and birth doula based in Southern Alberta. I grew up in Lethbridge and was homeschooled through Grade 12. I got married in 2024 in Fernie, and in my free time I enjoy hiking, baking, horseback riding, and spending quality time with my husband and family.
I am also a Christian registered nurse with a deep passion for supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum season. My love for caring for mothers and babies began at a young age—when I was just seven years old and my little brother was born. Helping my mom care for him sparked a lifelong calling that led me to earn my babysitter’s licence at 12 and eventually pursue a career as a postpartum nurse.
While I absolutely love working with postpartum families, I felt a strong calling to support women earlier in their journey—during pregnancy, labour, and birth. Becoming a labour and birth doula allows me to blend my clinical knowledge, faith-centred compassion, and heartfelt desire to walk alongside women during one of the most transformative experiences of their lives.
I am truly honoured to support you and your family as you welcome your precious new baby, and I would love to be part of this beautiful chapter in your story.
MY APPROACH
What to Expect
As your doula, my role is to walk beside you through one of life’s most transformative experiences — birth. I provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support to help you feel confident, calm, and empowered throughout your pregnancy, labour, and early postpartum period.
Emotional Support
I offer reassurance, encouragement, and a steady presence. Birth can bring many emotions, and I’m there to help you feel grounded, supported, and heard every step of the way.
Physical Support
Through comfort measures such as massage, positioning, breathing techniques, and relaxation tools, I help you manage sensations and promote progress during labour. My goal is to create a peaceful, supportive environment that aligns with your birth preferences.
Informational Support
I provide evidence-based information so you can make informed choices about your care. Whether it’s understanding your options, preparing your birth plan, or navigating unexpected changes, I help you feel empowered and informed.
Advocacy and Connection
I support your voice and your choices. I help you communicate your wishes clearly with your care team and ensure your preferences are respected as much as possible.
Postpartum Support
After birth, I continue to offer guidance and care as you adjust to life with your baby — supporting recovery, feeding, and emotional well-being.
My role is not to replace your partner or medical team, but to complement them — creating a calm, nurturing space where you feel safe, supported, and truly seen.
